Passenger aircraft for three seats with M-11 100 hp engine. Built 950 aifcraft, was prevalent at Aeroflot domestic lines.

In 1934 four AIR-6 performed flight Moscow —Irkutsk—Moscow. The aircraft flew over 11 000 km.
