General description:
This jet trainer demonstrated the best performance in competition announced by Russian Air Force in fifties. Czech L-29 and Poland TS-11 took part in this competition.
However, L-29 aircraft was put into production to load Czech aircraft industry.
Convincing confirmation of Yak-30 exclusive performance were World records in speed and altitude of flight that were set in 1961 for that class of aircraft.
Yak-30 was equipped with light-weight ejection seats and for the first time in Russian practice ejection was carried out through canopy transparency.
